A Fun, Cheesy Movie! “Elvira: Mistress of the Dark” follows our titular TV-hostess as she travels to Fallwell, Massachusetts in order to claim her inheritance from her great-aunt in the hopes of using the money to open a show in Las Vegas.   3. I love the movie. The Amazon Video HD port is so-so. This is one of my favorite camp films. I’m reviewing solely the Amazon Prime Video port of the film.It’s widescreen and HD, for sure (16:9 and 1080p), but very grainy. I guess this is an upgrade since we’ve only had a fullscreen (4:3), SD-quality (480p) version on all VOD services until 2018. We should be grateful we even have a widescreen/HD version of the film available now. Especially since the proper Blu-Ray release of this film seems to keep jumping between shady distributors…
