  2. Very disappointing release for what is supposed to be the last X-Men movie of this run X-Men Dark Phoenix was a disappointing release.First, the story. Things start in 1975 when a very young Jean Grey becomes frustrated and releases her powers which leads to a car accident and the death of her mother. Charles Xavier ends up at the hospital telling her that her parents died and that he could offer her a new home where she could be special with her powers and be safe.   3. Considering how lackluster Apocalyspe and this film have been, I really think this franchise should have ended with Days of Future Past (the best X Men film, in my opinion). The filmmakers should have spent at least two movies after First Class allowing the audience to get to know the young X-Men and developing these characters. The final movie would be the meeting of the prequel cast and the original cast in a battle to save the future. Then the X-Men would have a finale as great as Avengers’…
